I am rarely in the position to make larger donations, even to organizations I care deeply about. As soon as I heard about this plan, I knew I wanted to donate as much of my check as possible. This was reinforced when the specifics of the plan were hammered out in Congress.

Making this decision seems like a natural extension of my beliefs. I certainly encourage everyone to think about the goals of the stimulus package and where you will indeed get the most bang for the buck. In the end, I think working to build stronger nonprofits will do more to stimulate the economy and improve my quality of life than a new tv or cute summer wardrobe.
